I’m Dr. Kasi Lacey, a psychologist, keynote speaker, and the CEO of H & L Legacy Consulting. I help high-achieving women reclaim their confidence, navigate toxic workplaces, and lead with clarity, without burning out.
My story fuels the work I do. Texas-born and on my own at 16, I had to figure out resilience and independence early. Psychology gave me a framework to make sense of people and relationships, and it eventually became the foundation of my career. I rose through the ranks in higher education, serving as a C-suite Vice President and Dean of Student Life.
One of the turning points in my journey came when I discovered that a leadership role I was qualified for was being quietly reserved for a man. I’ll never forget the fear, and the power, of walking into the president’s office to advocate for myself. That conversation led to one of the scariest but proudest “yeses” of my life, and it became the catalyst for my mission to help women everywhere claim their own seat at the table.
Over time, I realized that even prestigious roles could feel misaligned if they came at the cost of joy and authenticity. So I made the leap, leaving behind the title and the corner office to start my coaching and speaking business. Today, I get to codify what actually works for women at work—through my “Your Confidence Comeback” keynote, workshops, and individual coaching, or supporting women in my Stay or Go private and group coaching for women navigating toxic workplaces.
Offstage, I’m a wife to Ryan, mom to two incredible daughters, Harper Jean and Lauren Rose, and fur-mom to our Australian Shepherd, Lane, and newest addition, mini Goldendoodle, Delta Dawn. My daughters are why I do what I do (I named my company after them). I want them to see a mom who is living her purpose, confident and happy, and I want to change workplaces so they do not have to suffer the same struggles.
That’s why I’m especially excited to be part of Women Rising, because I believe in the power of women coming together, lifting each other up, and creating ripple effects of confidence and leadership that will transform not just our careers, but our communities.
