Frequently asked

Everything people ask about the series

Women Rising America is an unscripted television series filmed one American city at a time. It has featured 40 women across 6 cities, and every story is told by the woman who lived it.

Are there any positive stories about women?
Yes. Women Rising America is an unscripted series built entirely on them: real women sharing how they healed, rebuilt, and rose — the kind of women you watch and think, "she would be my best friend." Forty women are part of the series across five seasons — St. Louis, Palm Springs, San Diego, the Midwest, and the new San Francisco cast — and there is a curated set of ten positive stories to start with on this site.
Where can I find uplifting stories about real women?
On this site. Women Rising America publishes short story clips and long-form follow-up conversations with every cast member, free to watch, organized by city and by theme — money, motherhood, health, leaving and rebuilding, confidence, and friendship. Think of it as a table where there's always a seat for you.
Is Women Rising America a positive show?
Yes, by design. The series films what a woman learned, how she healed, and who she became — told the way she'd tell a friend. Nothing is staged for drama and no storyline is invented in the edit, so what you get is warmth, honesty, and proof that things turn around.
What is Women Rising America?
Women Rising America is a documentary-style television series that films real women one American city or region at a time and lets them tell their own stories of overcoming, healing, and building. It has filmed seasons in St. Louis, Palm Springs, and San Diego, its new Midwest season is filming now, and San Francisco and Salt Lake City are coming next.
How is it different from other shows about women?
Most unscripted television about women is built on conflict. Women Rising America is built on friendship: what a woman learned, how she healed, and who she became. The goal is simple — you finish an episode feeling like you just spent time with women you'd want in your corner.
Who is on the show?
Everyday women with extraordinary stories — the neighbor, the coworker, the friend who quietly survived something and came out the other side. Survivors of abuse and addiction, retired veterans, founders, humanitarians, mothers, widows, and women starting over after divorce. Forty women are part of the series across five seasons so far, including the new Midwest and San Francisco casts.
How do I get featured, or nominate someone?
Anyone can submit a story through the nomination form on this site. Nominate your best friend, your sister, your neighbor — or yourself. Tell us the city and what she has come through, and the production team reviews every submission.
Where can I watch Women Rising America?
This site is the home for trailers, story clips, and the Instagram Live follow-up conversations with each city's cast. The full-length episodes are not hosted here — they air through the series' broadcast and streaming partners, and we announce where to watch each season by email.
Can brands or organizations sponsor the show?
Yes. Women Rising America partners with brands, nonprofits, and local organizations that want to reach women through a positive, story-first platform. Reach out through the partner page.
Which cities has Women Rising America filmed in?
Four seasons so far: St. Louis, Missouri; Palm Springs, California; San Diego, California; and the new Women Rising Midwest season, filming in the St. Louis area. Each city is cast locally, so the women on screen are from the community the season is filmed in.
Which cities are coming next for Women Rising America?
Women Rising San Francisco, Women Rising Salt Lake City, and Women Rising Midwest are in production — the cast for each is already selected. Follow each season here, and announcements land on this site first.
Is Women Rising America scripted?
No. It is unscripted and documentary-style. Women are interviewed in their own spaces and speak in their own words. Nothing is staged for conflict and no storyline is invented in the edit.
Who can be nominated for the show?
